Dr. Ema Hazra joined Spadina Optometry in 2018 after receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. She is happy to return to her hometown of Toronto, and to Spadina Optometry where she has previously interned.

During her time at Waterloo, Dr. Hazra completed an externship in ocular disease and therapeutics at the Eye Associates of Pinellas in Florida alongside leading ophthalmologists, specializing in the treatment and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal diseases. She has conducted vision screenings for athletes with Special Olympics Ontario, and served as a CNIB Vision Mate ambassador.
Dr. Hazra is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, Ontario Association of Optometrists, and College of Optometrists of Ontario. Her clinical interests include myopia control, specialty contact lenses, dry eye disease, and refractive surgery. She enjoys providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages, especially children.
